Before leaving...

• clothes
  it is advisable to bring comfortable clothes (summer clothes) to constanta.
  the temperature reaches between 30 and 35 degrees celsius during the day. in the evening, it is between 20 and 22 degrees warm. it might not rain very much during our stay in constanta.
  
  
• additional costs
  the participation fee does cover the lodging from august 10th till august 20th, the breakfast on these days and the lunch. we are trying to offer a small "dinner pack" each day.
  
  in order to enable you to estimate your additional costs, you can have a look at the following current prices:
  
  1 TUBORG or STELLA ARTOIS BEER = 15000 LEI
  1 LOCAL BEER = 7000 - 10000 LEI
  1 SANDWICH (KEBAP) = 10000 LEI
  1 BREAD = 2000 LEI
  1 COLA/FANTA = 5000 LEI
  these are the prices on the street and in the cafebars
  
  1 GAS LITER = 8500 LEI
  1 TICKET FOR BUS = 3200 LEI
  1 TICKET FOR MICROBUS = 5000 LEI
  1 TICKET FOR DISCO = 20000 - 30000 LEI
  
  additional dinner cost:
  30.000 lei for a modest one,
  50.000 lei for a decent one and
  over 100.000 lei for an eccentric one.
  
  for those who come earlier or stay a bit longer in constanta, radu proposes a lodging facility for 40.000 lei per night (3 in one room).

  How to arrive in Constanta...

  
  
• to enter Romania:
  All participants received an official invitation by fax.
  No matter where - airport or train station at the border - you will only have to show the invitation and to tell people that you are OFFICIALLY invited to participate in the event. You are not supposed to pay anything for getting the visa... It is important to mention that and to insist if necessary, generally and unfortunately people at the border use to make profit of visa taxes.
  If there are some problems show them the phone number written on the footer of the invitation and ask them to call for the confirmation. The number is Calin's and will be available during the ES.
  
  1) arrival by plane
  There do exist fight connections directly to Constanta. But most conections stop in Bucuresti. There you go to the train station...
  
  2) arrival by train
  From any station you get train tickets to Constanta

  There is another possibility to go by microbus:
  Departure from Bucuresti every hour between 6 AM and 6 PM.
  - from the parking place next to the entrance of the Nord Station.
  - it takes 3h 15min to Constanta
  - price: 70 000 lei (8 DM)

  The exchange rate is cca 9000 lei for 1 DM.
  

When arriving in Constanta...

• by trolebus: No. 41 till the end of the bus No.40 and No. 40 till the end of line, station name "Pescarie" ("Fishing place")
  
• by microbus: No.301 till "Pescarie"
  
• by taxi...direct ! but not recommended because of prices!!!
  

• trolebus: 3 200 Lei one ticket with two ways.
  
• microbus: 5 000 Lei one way ticket. - this is the best one !!!
  
• taxi: 5 000 Lei/Km, aprox. 30 000 - 40 000 Lei to the hotel
