Media School

The Media School is a project of AEGEE TV (see www.aegee.tv in cooperation with the Academy.
During a MediaSchool AEGEE TV will provide you courses on editing, script writing, journalism, camera handling, camera photography and more. You will learn all there is to know to make great television with AEGEE TV.

Talent

You may have wondered where AEGEE-TV finds the talent that is producing all the wonderful movies you’ve seen on this site. To tell you the truth, most of the talent finds us. Nearly all the people who have participated in AEGEE.TV projects so far have been students, members of AEGEE, who learned of AEGEE.TV through our presentations at our associations’ meetings.

Skills

Did these people already have the skills needed to make television? Some of them did, many did not. To allow everyone to try their hand at making television, AEGEE.TV instituted the MediaSchool (MeS). In the MediaSchool, participants are taught to prepare an item, use a camera and to edit their material.

Program

A MediaSchool typically lasts four to five days. Apart from the workshops, excursions and a social programme for the evenings are a recurring part of the program. Workshops are given in the fields of journalism, camera technique and videoediting. At most MediaSchools there will also be a keynote lecture on a related theme. These keynote lectures are given by experts in the field of television journalism.
