NewsletterJanuary 20072007-02-04The first month of the year is now already past… Time passes fast and people are running behind it...For us, as a board, it was a month with a lot of time pressure but on the other hand we are grateful because it gave the chance to some of us to meet once more in Patra! EventsT4T Patra: The T4T took place in Patra from the 9th to the 14th of January. 19 great participants, 4 amazing trainers, 2 documentalists and 1 great local with happy local organizers! A big thank you to all of them and of course to Matina Magkou manager of the event! ES1 Canakkale: we are happy to inform you that Carla Parra Escartin has become the case manager of the European School 1 in Canakkale! We wish her much fun and little stress while performing this one of the most challenging duties! Some very nice (and quite numerous!) application were reported to have been received by the Manager Marino and no matter how difficult it is, we trust he will choose the most worthy and motivated participants. And don’t forget to check the website www.europeanschool1.org regularly to stay updated about the adventures of Dilbert, the courageous member of AEGEE-Limoncellulare! PRES2 Pecs: The participants are already selected and the trainers team finally is complete! There are just some days left until the day that the European level of AEGEE will be full of PR specialists!:) Good luck to AEGEE-Pecs and Virag! ES2: This month was full of changes for the European School 2. Due to the fact that the Youth application was not accepted, the lack of manager and time we decided to change the dates of the event. Unfortunately AEGEE-Tartu couldn’t manage with new dates so we decided to issue an open call for new local. A new call for manager was announced and Maria Nomikou took over the challenging task! Open Calls:Locals for internal education events: We looking for locations for the upcoming internal education events: European School 2: to take place at the end of August beginning of September 200 European School 1: to take place at the end of November For more information check the open call Webmaster of Academy: As you may have noticed, some problems with the website of AEGEE-Academy make it not fully operational (broken links, missing data are some of them). In order to fix this, the presence of a webmaster for the aegee-academy.org domain is absolutely necessary. We wait for your applications on academy-board-l@aegee.org until Sunday 4th February. After this date, we intend to send an email to AEGEE-L as well. ES Manual We would like to thank all the people that expressed their interest to cooperate with Radu for updating the ES manual. The team will start working on it very soon but this doesn’t mean that if there are still people willing to support us they are not more than welcome! So in case you have some free time and you want to help contact us academy-board-l@aegee.org New people in our group:Marloes Meynen: Member of AEGEE Nijmegen since 2002, board member of her local and initiator of the LTC there and participant in ES1 and T4T are some of the things she has done in AEGEE. Outside our organization she has done internship in a training agency and she has developed trainings for university students. People said for Academy:
