The most important happening of last month was the election of the new board that is fully motivated and already very active! Besides, during the AGORA in Warszawa, the Academy had quite a lot of activities: the GMM took place, and several board members led a workshop together!

A New Member !

During the last month, a new experienced AEGEE member joined to the Academy. Who is she?

Marta Halubek You have surely seen her running like crazy during the AGORA in Warszawa, as she was the main coordinator. Congratulations for the great AGORA and for your new membership! ;)

GMM and New Board elected

During the GMM in Warszawa the Activity and Financial Reports from previous term were approved, and the new board was ratified! The minutes of the meeting will be online in the following days. We would like to thank all members who were at the meeting and Parcifal van Overbeek for chairing it and Radu Racareanu for taking the minutes.

Academy Workshop at the Spring AGORA

A workshop session on AEGEE's Human Resources had been held by the Academy at the Spring Agora 2006 in Warsaw. 30 participants, mainly active members on local level, brainstormed and discussed about the current issues of AEGEE's Human Resources, focusing on the topics of recruitment, involvement, targeting and knowledge transfer and coming up with possible solutions.

The minutes of the workshop, as well as the photos, will be available as soon as possible on the Academy website.

Passed Events

PRES1 Krakow
The Public Relations European School 1 took place in Krakow as pre-event of the Agora. It was the first time when the concept of PRES1 was implemented after the division in PRES1 and PRES2. Having targeted 30 high PR potentials of the local level, the event also proved motivation for participants to ensure a better cooperation between local and European level in what PR is concerned. We're looking forward to seeing the results and admire a great development of the Public Relations work in our association.

We would like to thank to the managers, Rory Nuyens and Basak Tuzun and as well as to case manager, Dennis Hendriksen for taking this challenge and to all staff team and AEGEE-Krakow for giving a precious contribution to the success of this PRES 1!

Future Events

ES1 Autumn 2006
The manager of the next ES1 will be Martin Schiffhauer. Congratulations! We are sure that with his experience and great organisation skills, he will make of this event a big success! ;)

The board is working on evaluation of the applications for host local in these days .

PRES2 2007
We would like to announce that Virag Szabo is the manager of next PRES2 which will take place in late February / early March 2007. We wish her success with this new challenge and we believe that this will be an unforgettable event with its success. An open call is issued for host local and the board is waiting for applications from the locals that are ready to take the challenge to organise a marvellous event.
